1. Who we are

WaveDisco ("we", "us", "our") operates the website wavedisco.com and WaveDisco Studio — a browser-based AI music mastering tool. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and how we protect it.

2. Data we collect

• Audio files — audio you upload to WaveDisco Studio is processed entirely in your browser using the Web Audio API. Your audio is never uploaded to our servers and is never stored by us.
• Purchase data — if you purchase the Desktop app via Gumroad, Gumroad collects and processes your payment information. We receive only your name and email address from Gumroad to fulfil your order. We do not store your payment card details.
• Ko-fi supporter messages — if you support us on Ko-fi, we receive your Ko-fi display name and the message you write. Approved messages may be displayed publicly on the site as supporter acknowledgements (not as product reviews).
• Usage analytics — anonymous page views and session data collected via Google Analytics 4 (GA4) and Vercel Web Analytics. No audio content is sent to these services. IP addresses are anonymised before storage. We may additionally use Yandex Metrica and/or Microsoft Clarity for session analysis and heatmaps; these are subject to their respective privacy policies.

3. How we use your data

• To deliver the Desktop app licence after purchase.
• To display approved Ko-fi supporter messages on the site.
• To understand how users interact with the site and improve the product.
• To comply with legal obligations.

4. Legal basis (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area, we process your data on the basis of: (a) contract performance — to deliver the Desktop app you purchased; (b) legitimate interests — to improve the product and prevent abuse; (c) consent — for analytics cookies (you may opt out at any time via your browser settings or the Google Analytics Opt-out Add-on).

5. Cookies & analytics

We use the following analytics services to understand how visitors interact with the site. No audio content, personal messages, or payment data are shared with any of these services.

• Google Analytics 4 — uses cookies to distinguish sessions; IP addresses are anonymised. Opt out via the GA Opt-out Add-on.
• Vercel Web Analytics — privacy-friendly, cookieless page-view tracking. No personal identifiers are stored.
• Yandex Metrica (if enabled) — session recordings and heatmaps. Subject to Yandex Privacy Policy.
• Microsoft Clarity (if enabled) — session recordings and heatmaps. Subject to Microsoft Privacy Statement.

You may disable all analytics by adjusting your browser's cookie settings or using a browser extension such as uBlock Origin.

6. Third-party services

• Gumroad — processes payments for the Desktop app. Subject to Gumroad's Privacy Policy.
• Ko-fi — processes support payments and supporter messages. Subject to Ko-fi's Privacy Policy.
• Neon — cloud PostgreSQL database used to store purchase records (name, email, licence key) and licence activation data. Data is stored in the United States (AWS us-east-1, N. Virginia). Transfers from the EEA are covered by Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs). Subject to Neon's Privacy Policy.
• Google Analytics 4 — anonymous site analytics. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
• Vercel — site hosting and privacy-friendly Web Analytics. Subject to Vercel's Privacy Policy.
• Hostinger — audio sample files at media.wavedisco.com are served via Hostinger CDN. User-uploaded audio is not stored there.

7. Data retention

Purchase records (name, email, licence key) are retained for as long as required to support your licence and comply with applicable law. Ko-fi supporter message data is retained while the message is displayed on the site. To request deletion of your data, contact us at the address below and we will respond within 30 days.

8. Your rights

You have the right to: access the data we hold about you; correct inaccurate data; request deletion of your data; object to or restrict processing; data portability. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@wavedisco.com.

9. Children

WaveDisco is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
